I discovered the field of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto while completing my Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology.  Speech-Language Pathology seemed to perfectly suit my personality, interests and academic background and the more I learned about this field, the more I loved it.  I made the decision then to pursue this as my career.  I completed my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Ithaca College (Ithaca, NY) and began working at a rehabilitation hospital, where I helped those recovering from stroke or other acquired brain injury to regain their speech, swallowing, and abilities to understand others and express themselves using language.  I have worked across a range of settings, from inpatient hospital, outpatient rehabilitation to community and private practice.  To this day, I remain passionate about supporting those recovering from neurologic injury who know more than they can say.

The birth of my son sparked a renewed interest in child speech and language development.  As a lifelong learner, I completed additional education and training in these areas and currently enjoy having the opportunity to work with clients of all ages.  I value a collaborative, client-centred approach to intervention, where we work together on functional goals.  I am always inspired by my clients and am honoured to be part of their journey.

I hope that my enthusiasm, creativity and compassion will put you at ease and will help provide a motivating, fun environment for you to work towards your communication goals.
