My strong desire to help others, combined with an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Guelph, led me to the world of health professionals.  I started my career as a communicative disorders assistant working in schools with children, under the direct supervision of a speech-language pathologist.  Although my job was both fulfilling and rewarding, I knew that I wanted to assess the children I was working with and devise the goals myself to direct their intervention needs.  This led me to Nova Southeastern University in Florida where I obtained my Masters of Science in Communication Disorders and became a speech-language pathologist.

Since my graduation, I have thoroughly enjoyed working in private practice at SpeechWorks, providing assessment and treatment to both children and adults of all ages.  I have a passion for the field of voice and resonance disorders and transgender communication.  I also service a diverse range of clientele with a variety of needs including acquired brain injury, degenerative disease, stroke, accent reduction, articulation, language and literacy needs.  I genuinely love helping my clients succeed and improve with their goals and use a client-centered approach to guide them in their treatments.  My greatest achievements are made when my clients are successful in obtaining their goals and realize the full potential of their communication accomplishments.
