Gender Affirming Voice & Communication Group

S. L. Hunter SpeechWorks is proud to offer a gender affirming voice and communication group!

This group is appropriate for, but is not limited to, individuals who identify as transgender, gender fluid, gender diverse, non-binary, gender nonconforming or other gender identities. We work with those who are at various stages in their journey

This group is for those individuals looking to modify their voice (pitch, intonation, rate, and resonance patterns), communication style, and body language to suit their gender identity and/or presentation, in a positive and supportive environment.  Skills are practiced in an inclusive group environment and involve role play, group discussions, and practice of individual goals. This is  a great way to practice skills taught in individual sessions with a supportive group of individuals who can relate to and understand the changes you are going through.  

The group runs at varying intervals throughout the year with a variety of ages of individuals.  Groups can be tailored to specific needs of interested individuals.  New members are always welcome!
