My interest in speech-language pathology began in high school when I worked as a math and reading tutor. I quickly began volunteering with speech language pathologists in local schools and hospitals. Throughout my volunteer experiences, I quickly realized the impact of communication difficulties on academic, vocational, social, and psychological aspects of life. Speech language pathology perfectly bridged my interests in psychology and linguistics while aligning with my personality and values. I completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Behaviour at McMaster University followed by a Masters in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Maine.

Research and prior work experiences as a behavior therapist has greatly inspired my clinical practice. I am passionate about providing client centered care to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout the lifespan, with a special focus on social communication. My love and respect for the role of rehabilitation has also fostered my passion in developing functional treatments for adults with acquired brain injury and neurodegenerative disorders.
