After accidentally being assigned to a speech therapy co-op placement in high school, I absolutely fell in love with the profession. Becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist blended two of my biggest passions – language and medicine. Lucky to know this path from a young age, I was able to dedicate both my undergraduate and graduate degrees to the field, with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech & Language Sciences from Brock University and a Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Toronto.

I have spent my entire career with the SpeechWorks team, providing innovative and functional therapy to adults and youth. Continuing to foster my early passion for language and medicine, I have focused my clinical practice on working with individuals with acquired brain injury and degenerative disease as well as providing support for youth who are struggling with reading and writing skills and academic performance. Helping someone to regain what they thought was lost after an injury or helping a student to excel in school or even discover a new love of reading or writing is a rewarding experience that this profession allows me to experience again and again.
